Are we the only UK fish and chip shop that grow and supply our own potatoes for 8 months of the year? Weather depending of course!
We usually grow only one variety, Agria . Floury and fluffy and is THE best potato for chipping ( according to Steve )
But what about the Sagitta variety? We’ve not grown this variety here on the farm before but with its golden skin and fluffy texture we thought we’d give it a try. Another winner in the chip department.
We will be harvesting our spuds this week, field to fork in its truest meaning of the word.
