British Food Fortnight at White Row: Homemade Pies, Made from Scratch
Updated: Oct 1
5th–11th October
British food, made properly.
British Food Fortnight celebrates British food and the farming behind it, which gives us a very good reason to put some of our deli favourites centre stage.
To celebrate British Food Fortnight, our homemade deli pies are 2 for £9, from Monday 5th to Sunday 11th October. ( rrp £5.50 each )
Choose from five flavours, all made from scratch in our deli kitchen using meat prepared by our White Row butchers, including locally sourced British beef and our own home reared pork, alongside vegetables grown here on the farm.
Pick them up fresh from our deli counter or find them in our Farm Shop freezers to cook at home.

Celebrating British food and farming
British Food Fortnight is a celebration of British food and the farming behind it. Something rather close to home for us.
At White Row, the journey from field and butcher’s block to the deli counter can be a remarkably short one. Our pies are a good example of what happens when the different parts of the farm shop work together.
There’s a good bit of British farming tucked beneath that puff pastry.
The beef used in our pies comes from Howard & Sons in Wiltshire, third generation family farmers producing free range, grass fed British beef. Our beef is 28 day aged before being expertly prepared by our butchers here at White Row.
The mince for our minced beef, onion & red wine pie is also made by our butchers using the forequarter, again from Howard & Sons.
For our creamy chicken & bacon pie, the bacon is made using White Row home reared pork, while vegetables for our pies come straight from our own fields when in season.
From there, it is only a short trip to our deli kitchen.
Homemade pies from our deli kitchen
Our deli team make them from scratch here at White Row. The meat is prepared by our butchers, vegetables come in from the farm, fillings are cooked in our deli kitchen and the pies are made and finished here before being wrapped in puff pastry.
It means we know what goes into them! British food, made properly.
Fresh from the deli counter or frozen to cook at home
You will find our pies freshly made on the White Row deli counter, ready to take home for supper.
But it is also worth looking in our freezers.
All five flavours are available frozen. There is very little required at your end: brush the pastry with egg yolk and cook from frozen at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes.
The deli team has already done the difficult bit. Turning the oven on is yours.
British Food Fortnight Pie Offer at White Row Farm Shop
Our 2 for £9 homemade pie offer runs from 5th–11th October as part of our celebration of British Food Fortnight.
All five flavours are available fresh from our deli counter or frozen from our Farm Shop freezers, subject to availability.
White Row Farm Shop is on the A36 at Beckington, near Frome and Warminster, with free parking on site.
Five flavours. Two for £9. Supper has rather conveniently sorted itself out.
