Fresh Sandwiches Near Frome | White Row Farm Shop Somerset
A good sandwich is one of life’s quieter pleasures.
Not fashionable. Not complicated. Just proper bread, generous fillings, and the sort of lunch that makes sitting in the car for ten peaceful minutes feel oddly luxurious.
And when it comes to proper sandwiches, a BLT still takes some beating!
To celebrate British Sandwich Week, our deli team are serving the White Row BLT for one week only from Monday 18th May-Saturday 23rd May.
Smoked streaky bacon made in our own butchery from our home reared pork, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, plenty of proper mayo, and soft Hobbs House bread, white or brown. Simple ingredients, done properly, which is usually where the best food starts.
Messy by the final bite, as all good BLTs should be.
Available freshly made to order from our deli counter.
Fresh Sandwiches Made Daily at White Row Farm Shop
The BLT may be stealing the spotlight this week, but our deli counter is full of proper sandwiches and baguettes made fresh daily from 8:30am until 3pm.
At White Row Farm Shop in Beckington, just off the A36 between Frome and Warminster, we make sandwiches using ingredients from across our farm shop, butchery and fishmongers here in Somerset.
Most are made fresh to order while you wait, served on Hobbs House bread with generous fillings and none of the sad, limp corner-cutting that gives sandwiches a bad name.
If you are short on time, you will usually find a small selection freshly made in the fridge too, ready to grab alongside a cold drink, crisps, Scotch egg, sausage roll or slice of homemade cake.
Our sandwich fillings regularly include:
White Row ham
Devon cheddar and homemade coleslaw
Prawn mayo and lettuce
White Row egg mayo and cress
Line caught tuna mayo with red onion or cucumber
Chicken pesto and sundried tomatoes
Coronation chicken and lettuce
Rare roast beef, salad and horseradish
Somerset brie and cranberry sauce
Devon cheddar and Branston pickle
Homemade hummus and salad
A Proper Somerset Lunch Stop
